How Does Solar Lighting Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in a location that receives maximum sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

Living in a Rainy Region?

It’s not as easy, but you can install solar-powered lights even in a completely shaded area. We have solar lights with a solar panel separated by a wire that can vary from three to six meters, great for a dark outdoor area. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still work but they will be less powerful.

Why is My Solar Lamp Not Working?

Usually, the reason for a malfunctioning solar light is the battery. It often happens that the batteries do not charge or do not retain energy. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular battery and you will immediately find out why your solar light is not working. It is possible that the solar panel is the issue, but this is very unlikely.

Solar panels continue to store solar energy even in cloudy weather or through glass. So you can charge your solar lights outside direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be less powerful and may not last as long.
