How Do Solar Lights Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells store sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the bulb at night. As the lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be positioned in a place that gets full sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

Do You Live in a Rainy Region?

It’s not as simple, but you can still install solar lights, even in a winter region. We have solar lights with a solar module detached by a wire that can range from one to six meters, perfect for a heavily shaded outdoor area. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still work, but they will be less powerful.

Why Isn’t My Solar Light Working Anymore?

Usually, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the battery. Sometimes the batteries don’t charge or hold the charge. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery and you’ll immediately know why your solar light is not working. It’s possible that the solar power module is the issue, but that is unlikely.

How to Charge a Solar Light Without Sunlight?

Solar panels continue to absorb solar energy even in dark weather or through glass. So you can charge your solar lights outside direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be lower, and the light duration will be shorter.
