How do solar lights work?

Photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the lights at night. As solar lights rely on solar energy, they should be placed in an area that receives plenty of sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours per day.

What if you don’t have direct sunlight?

While it’s not as straightforward, you can still install solar lights even in winter regions. We offer solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a wire, ranging from three to five meters. This is great for shaded areas. If you live in a rainy or winter-prone area, your solar lights will still work but may be less powerful.

Why isn’t my solar light working anymore?

In most cases, the problem with malfunctioning lights is the battery. Often, the batteries don’t charge or hold the power. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery, and you’ll immediately know why your solar light is not functioning. It’s unlikely that the solar module itself is the issue.

Solar cells continue to store solar energy even in dark conditions or through a glass surface. So, you can recharge your solar lights even without direct sunlight. However, the light will be less powerful and may not last as long.
