How does a solar lamp work?
Photovoltaic cells absorb solar energy during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the LED light at night. Since the lamps are powered by solar energy, they must be placed in an area that receives plenty of sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.
Do you have a very shaded courtyard?
It’s not as easy, but you can still have rechargeable solar lights even in a rainy region. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a wire that can range from one to nine meters, perfect for a very dark open space. If you live in a rainy or wintry area, your solar lights will still work, but they will be less powerful.
My solar lamp is not working anymore?
Often, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the battery. Sometimes, the batteries may not charge or retain power. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working anymore. It is unlikely that the solar panel itself is the problem.
For more details, see our maintenance guide.
How to recharge a solar lamp without sunlight?
Solar modules continue to store solar energy even in cloudy weather or through a glass surface. So you can charge your solar lamps without direct sunlight. However, the light will be less bright and will last for a shorter duration.
