How Do Solar Lights Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the LED bulbs at night. Since these lamps rely on solar energy, they should be placed in an area that receives full sunlight, ideally for eight to ten hours or more each day.

What If You Don’t Have Direct Sunlight?

While it may not be as straightforward, you can still install rechargeable solar lights, even in a winter region. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a wire that can range from one to seven meters, ideal for illuminating dark outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or winter area, your solar lights will still function, but they may be less powerful.

Why Isn’t My Solar Light Working Anymore?

In most cases, the battery is the reason why your lights are not working. Sometimes, the batteries may not charge or hold the charge properly. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately find out why your solar lights are not functioning. It is unlikely that the solar panel module is the issue.

How to Charge a Solar Light Without Sunlight?

Solar cells continue to store solar energy even on cloudy days or through a window. So, you can charge your solar lights even without direct sunlight. However, the light will be less intense and last for a shorter period.
