How Does a Solar Lamp Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells accumulate solar energy during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the lamp at night. Since solar-powered lamps rely on sunlight, they should be positioned in an area that receives full sun, ideally for eight to ten hours or more per day.

Don’t Have Direct Sunlight?

While not as convenient, you can still install rechargeable solar lights even in a winter region. We have solar-powered lights with a separate solar panel connected by a wire that can vary from three to eight meters, perfect for a very dark outdoor area. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar-powered lights will still work, but they will be less powerful.

My Solar Lamp Doesn’t Work?

Most often, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the battery. Sometimes the batteries do not charge or do not retain power. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery, and you will quickly find out why your solar lamp is not working. It is possible that the solar module is the issue, but this is very unlikely.

How to Recharge a Solar Lamp Without Sunlight?

Solar modules continue to store solar energy even in cloudy weather or through glass. So you can charge your solar lights outside direct sunlight. However, the light will be less bright and will last for a shorter period of time.
