How do solar lights work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the light at night. Since the lamps are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in an area that receives ample sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

What if you have a very shady courtyard?

It’s not as straightforward, but you can still install solar lights even in a completely shaded area. We have solar lights with separate solar panels connected by a cable that can range from one to five meters, perfect for a very dark outdoor area. If you live in a rainy or winter-prone region, your solar lights will still work but they will be less bright.

My solar light is not working?

Most of the time, the rechargeable battery is the cause of malfunction in your lights. It is common for batteries not to charge or hold power. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working. It is very rare for the solar energy module itself to be the issue.

How to recharge a solar light without sunlight?

Solar cells continue to absorb solar energy even in cloudy weather or through a window. So you can recharge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be less intense, and the light will last for a shorter period of time.
