How does a solar lamp work?

New generation photovoltaic cells absorb solar light during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the lamp at night. Since solar lights are powered by sunlight, they should be placed in an area that receives full sunlight for ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

Don’t have direct sunlight?

It’s not as convenient, but you can still place solar lights, even in a winter region. We have solar lights with a separate solar module connected by a cable that can range from three to ten meters, perfect for a poorly lit outdoor area. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still work, but they will be dimmer.

Why doesn’t my solar lamp work?

Often, the issue with solar lights is the rechargeable battery. It’s common for batteries not to charge or hold power. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately know why your solar lamp isn’t working. It is very rare for the solar module itself to be the cause.

How to recharge a solar lamp without sunlight?

Solar modules continue to store solar energy even on cloudy days or through a window. So you can recharge your solar lamps without direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be lower and won’t last as long.
