How do solar lights work?

Photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the bulbs at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they should be placed in an area that receives plenty of sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

What if you have a very shaded yard?

It’s not as easy, but you can still install solar lights in a completely shaded area. We have solar lights with a separate solar module connected by a cable, which can range from one to five meters, perfect for heavily shaded outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or wintry region, your solar lights will still function, but they will be less powerful.

What if my solar light is not working?

Commonly, the reason for malfunctioning lights is the battery. Often, the batteries do not charge or do not hold the charge. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular one, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working. The solar module may also be the cause, but this is very rare.

Solar panels continue to absorb solar energy even in cloudy weather or through a window. Therefore, you can charge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the light will be less intense and will last for a shorter period.
