How Does a Solar Light Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells accumulate solar energy during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the bulb at night. As the lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in a location that receives plenty of sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

No Direct Sunlight in Your Area?

Although it is not as straightforward, you can still install solar-powered lights in a winter region. We have solar lamps with a separate solar panel connected by a cable that can range from one to nine meters, perfect for a dark outdoor area. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still work, but they may be less powerful.

My Solar Light Isn’t Working?

Often, the reason for malfunctioning lights is the battery. It is common for batteries to not charge or hold power properly. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately know why your solar light isn’t working. It is very rare for the solar panel itself to be the cause of the issue.

How to Charge a Solar Light Without Sunlight?

Solar cells continue to absorb solar energy even in cloudy or through a glass. So you can charge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the light will be less powerful and last for a shorter period of time.
