How does solar lighting work?

Photovoltaic cells capture sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the bulb at night. As the lights are powered by solar energy, they should be placed in a location that receives full sun, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

What if you have a very shaded yard?

It’s not as easy, but you can still install solar lights even in a fully shaded area. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a wire that can range from three to five meters, perfect for a very dark outdoor area. If you live in a rainy or winter area, your solar lights will still work, but they will be weaker.

My solar light is not working anymore?

Usually, the reason for a malfunctioning solar light is the rechargeable battery. It often happens that the batteries do not charge or do not hold the charge. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular one, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working anymore. It’s very unlikely that the solar power module is to blame.

How to charge a solar light without sunlight?

Solar panels continue to store solar energy even in cloudy weather or through glass. So you can charge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the light will be dimmer and last for a shorter period.
