Which Solar Lamp to Choose for Your Garden?

How Do Solar Lights Work?

Photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the bulbs at night. As solar lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be positioned in a location that receives plenty of sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

What If I Don’t Have Direct Sunlight?

While not as easy, you can still install solar lights in an area that is completely shaded. We have solar lights with a separate solar module connected by a cable that can range from two to seven meters, making it ideal for very dark outdoor spaces. If you live in a rainy or wintry area, your solar lights will still work but they will be less powerful.

Why Isn’t My Solar Light Working?

The most common cause of malfunctioning solar lights is the battery. Often, the batteries fail to charge or hold the energy. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working. It is unlikely that the solar panel itself is the issue.

How to Charge a Solar Light Without Sunlight?

Solar panels continue to absorb solar energy even on cloudy days or through a window. So you can recharge your solar lights even without direct sunlight. However, the light will be less powerful and will last for a shorter duration.
