How do solar lamps work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the LED bulb at night. Since the lamps are powered by solar energy, they should be placed in a location that receives full sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

No direct sunlight available?

It’s not as easy, but you can still place solar lamps in a completely shaded area. We have solar lamps with a separate solar module connected by a cable that can range from one to eight meters, perfect for a very dark outdoor space. If you live in a rainy or wintry area, your solar lamps will still work but with reduced performance.

My solar lamp is not working anymore?

Most of the time, the reason for a malfunction in your lamps is the rechargeable battery. Sometimes the batteries may not charge or hold power. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery, and you will quickly find out why your solar light is not working. It is possible that the solar panel is the cause, but this is unlikely.

How to charge a solar lamp without sunlight?

Solar cells continue to store solar energy even in dim weather or through a window. So you can recharge your solar lights away from direct sunlight. However, the light will be dimmer and last for a shorter duration.
