How Do Solar Lights Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the LED bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they should be placed in an area that receives full sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

What If You Only Have a Shaded Yard?

It’s not as easy, but you can still install rechargeable solar lights even in a winter region with a shaded yard. We have solar lights with a solar module that can be separated by a wire ranging from one to eight meters, which is great for a dark outdoor area. If you live in a rainy or wintry area, your solar lights will still work, but they will be less powerful.

My Solar Lamp Is Not Working Anymore?

Usually, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the battery. It often happens that the batteries don’t charge or don’t hold the power. Our best advice is to replace the solar rechargeable battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working anymore. It is also possible that the solar panel is the issue, but that is very unlikely.

How to Charge a Solar Lamp without Sunlight?

Solar panels continue to store solar energy even on cloudy days or through a window. So you can charge your solar lights outside direct sunlight. However, the light will be less intense and will not last as long.
