Solar garden lanterns: Lanterns are very effective in illuminating your garden with their delicate light and can also serve as night lights. Explore our wide range of lanterns for a joyful garden atmosphere.
How does a solar lamp work?
The latest generation of photovoltaic cells absorbs sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the LED bulbs at night. Since the lamps are powered by solar energy, they need to be positioned in a location that receives full sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.
What if you have a very shady yard?
It’s not as easy, but you can still install rechargeable solar lights even in a completely shaded area. We have solar lamps with a separate solar module connected by a cable that can range from three to seven meters, which is great for very dark outdoor spaces. If you live in a rainy or wintery area, your solar wall lights will still work, but they may be less powerful.
Why is my solar lamp not working anymore?
Usually, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the rechargeable battery. It often happens that the batteries do not charge or retain energy. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular one, and you will immediately know why your solar lamp is not working anymore. It is very unlikely that the solar panel itself is the cause of the problem.
For more details, refer to our maintenance guide.
How to charge a solar lamp without sunlight?
Solar panels continue to store solar energy even in cloudy weather or through a windowpane. So you can recharge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the light will be less powerful and last for a shorter time.
