How Does Solar Lighting Work?

Photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the bulbs at night. Since the lights are powered by the sun, they need to be placed in an area that receives full sunlight, ideally for eight to ten hours or more per day.

Do You Live in a Winter Region?

It’s not as easy, but you can still install solar-powered lights even in a completely shaded area. We have solar lights with a separate solar module connected by a wire, which can range from three to six meters, ideal for heavily shaded outdoor spaces. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still function but they will be less powerful.

Why Isn’t My Solar Light Working?

Often, the cause of your lights not working is the battery. Sometimes, the batteries do not charge or hold their power. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular one, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working. It is also possible that the solar panel is the issue, but this is less likely.

How to Recharge a Solar Light Without Sunlight?

Solar panels still absorb solar energy even in cloudy weather or through glass. So you can charge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be less powerful and last for a shorter duration.
