How does solar lighting work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they should be placed in an area that receives full sun, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

No direct sunlight in your area?

It’s not as straightforward, but you can still install solar lights even in a winter region. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a wire that can range from three to ten meters, perfect for dark outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or winter area, your solar lights will still work but with reduced power.

My solar lamp is not working anymore?

Usually, the cause of malfunctioning lights is a rechargeable battery. The batteries often fail to charge or hold the energy. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular one, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working. It is very unlikely that the solar panel is the issue.

How to recharge a solar lamp without sunlight?

Solar panels can still absorb solar energy, even on cloudy days or through a window. So you can recharge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the light will be weaker and last for a shorter period.
