How does a solar lamp work?
Photovoltaic cells accumulate solar energy during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they should be positioned in an area that receives plenty of sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.
Do you live in a winter region?
It’s not as straightforward, but you can still install solar lights even in a rainy region. We have solar lights with a separate solar module connected by a cable, ranging from two to five meters, ideal for dark outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still work but they may be weaker.
My solar lamp is not working?
Usually, the culprit behind malfunctioning lights is the battery. Sometimes, the batteries do not charge or do not hold power. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular battery, and you will quickly find out why your solar lamp is not working. It is rare for the solar panel itself to be the cause of the issue.
For more details, see our maintenance guide.
How to recharge a solar lamp without sunlight?
Solar cells continue to absorb solar energy even in dark weather or through a glass. So you can charge your solar lights even in the absence of direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be weaker and the duration shorter.
