How Does Solar Lighting Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb solar energy during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the bulb at night. Since solar lights are powered by sunlight, they should be placed in an area that receives maximum sunlight exposure, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

Living in a Winter Area?

It may not be as convenient, but you can still have solar lights even in a completely shaded area. We have solar lights with separate solar panels connected by a cable that can range from one to five meters, perfect for heavily shaded outdoor areas. If you reside in a rainy or winter zone, your solar lights may still work but they will be less powerful.

Why Isn’t My Solar Lamp Working?

Often, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the battery. Sometimes the batteries do not charge or hold the charge. Our top recommendation is to replace the solar battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working. It is very rare for the solar panel itself to be the cause of the issue.

How to Charge a Solar Lamp Without Sunlight?

Solar cells continue to absorb solar energy even in dark conditions or through glass. So you can recharge your solar lights even without direct sunlight. However, the light will be less intense and the duration will be shorter.
