How Do Solar Lights Work?

New generation photovoltaic cells store sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the LED bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they should be placed in an area that receives full sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

What If You Don’t Have Direct Sunlight?

It’s not as simple, but you can still use solar lights even in a wintry region. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a cable that can range from two to seven meters, making it perfect for dark outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or wintry region, your solar wall sconces will still work, but they may be less powerful.

Why Isn’t My Solar Light Working?

Often, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the rechargeable battery. Sometimes the batteries do not charge or do not retain power. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular one, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working. It is unlikely that the solar panel is the issue.

How to Charge a Solar Light Without Sunlight?

Solar panels continue to store solar energy even on cloudy days or through a window. So you can charge your solar lights outside direct sunlight. However, the light will be less powerful and last for a shorter duration.
