How Does a Solar Light Work?

During the day, the photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight to charge the batteries, which then power the light at night. To ensure optimal performance, solar lights should be placed in a location that receives direct sunlight for at least 8 to 10 hours a day.

No Direct Sunlight? No Problem!

Even in winter regions, you can still install solar lights. We offer solar lights with a separate solar module connected by a cable, allowing you to place the solar panel up to eight meters away from the light. This is ideal for areas with limited sunlight. However, please note that solar lights in rainy or winter areas will have reduced power output.

My Solar Light is Not Working

Typically, a malfunctioning solar light is due to the battery. Often, batteries fail to charge or hold a charge. Try replacing the rechargeable battery with a regular battery to determine if that’s the issue. It’s rare for the solar panel itself to be the problem.

How to Charge a Solar Light Without Sunlight?

Solar cells can still absorb solar energy even on cloudy days or through glass, allowing you to recharge your solar lights outside direct sunlight. However, the light will be less intense and last for a shorter duration.
