How Do Solar Lights Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge rechargeable batteries, which then power the LED bulb at night. As solar lights rely on solar energy, they need to be placed in an area that receives full sunlight for ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

Living in a Rainy Region?

Installing solar-powered lights in a rainy region is still possible. We have solar lights with a separate solar module connected by wire, which allows you to place the solar panel in a sunny spot while the light itself can be installed in a darker area. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still function, although they may be less powerful.

My Solar Light Isn’t Working Anymore?

Often, the reason why solar lights don’t work is due to the rechargeable battery. It is common for the batteries to not charge or hold power properly. Our top recommendation is to replace the solar battery with a regular one to see if that fixes the issue. The solar panel is less likely to be the problem.

How to Charge a Solar Light with No Direct Sunlight?

Solar panels can still absorb solar energy even on cloudy days or through glass. So, you can charge your solar lights even without direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be reduced, and the light will last for a shorter duration.
