How Do Solar Lights Work?

Photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the LED bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be positioned in a place that receives full sun, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

Do You Live in a Winter Region?

It’s not as easy, but you can still install solar-powered lights even in a winter region. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a cable, which can vary from one to five meters, perfect for very dark outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or winter area, your solar lights will still work, but they will be less powerful.

My Solar Light Isn’t Working?

Often, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the battery. Batteries often fail to charge or retain energy. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular battery, and you will instantly know why your solar light is not working. It is possible that the solar panel is the issue, but that is very unlikely.

How to Charge a Solar Light Without Sun?

Solar panels still absorb solar energy even on cloudy days or through glass. So you can charge your solar lights outside of direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be less powerful and last for a shorter duration.
