How Do Solar Lights Work?

Photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the light bulb at night. As solar lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be positioned in an area that receives plenty of sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

Living in a Winter Region?

It’s not as easy, but you can install solar lights even in rainy areas. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a cable that can vary from two to five meters, perfect for very dark outdoor spaces. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still work, but they will be less powerful.

Why Is My Solar Light Not Working Anymore?

Often, the reason for a malfunction of your lights is the battery. It often happens that the batteries do not charge or hold the energy. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately see why your solar light is not working anymore. It is unlikely that the solar panel is the problem, but it can happen very rarely.

How to Charge a Solar Light Without Sunlight?

Solar modules continue to absorb solar energy even in cloudy weather or through a window. So you can charge your solar lights outside of direct sunlight. However, the light will be less intense and will last for a shorter period.
