How Does Solar Lighting Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the LED bulbs at night. Since these lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in an area that receives plenty of sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

No Direct Sunlight? No Problem!

It’s not as easy, but you can still install solar-powered lights even in a completely shaded area. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a wire that can be extended from three to five meters, perfect for very dark outdoor spaces. If you live in a rainy or winter area, your solar lights will still work but with reduced brightness.

Why Isn’t My Solar Lamp Working?

Usually, the culprit behind a malfunctioning solar light is the battery. Sometimes the batteries don’t charge or hold the charge. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery, and you will quickly find out why your solar light is no longer working. It is unlikely that the solar power module is the cause of the problem.

How to Charge a Solar Lamp Without Sunlight?

Solar cells continue to absorb solar energy even in dark weather or through a window. So you can recharge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be lower, and the duration will be shorter.
