How does solar lighting work?
Solar cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then activate the LED light at night. Since the lamps are powered by solar energy, they should be placed in an area that receives full sunlight, ideally for eight to ten hours or more per day.
No direct sunlight in your area?
It’s not as easy, but you can still have solar-powered lights even in a completely shaded area. We have solar lights with a separate solar module connected by a cable, which can range from two to five meters, ideal for highly shaded outdoor spaces. If you live in a rainy or winter area, your solar lights will still work, but they will be weaker.
My solar lamp is not working?
Often, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the rechargeable battery. It often happens that the batteries do not charge or do not hold power. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular one, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working. It is very unlikely that the solar panel is the issue.
For more information, see our maintenance guide.
How to charge a solar lamp without sunlight?
Solar cells continue to absorb solar energy even in cloudy weather or through glass. So you can charge your solar lights without direct sunlight. But the brightness will be lower, and the duration will be shorter.
