How Do Solar Lights Work?
Photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the LED bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in an area that receives full sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.
No Direct Sunlight for Your Solar Lights?
It’s not as convenient, but you can still install solar lights even in a winter region. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a wire that can range from two to six meters, ideal for very dark outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or winter area, your solar lights will still work but they will be dimmer.
My Solar Light Is Not Working?
Usually, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the battery. It often happens that batteries do not charge or hold energy. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working. It is possible that the solar panel module is the problem, but that is unlikely.
For more details, refer to our maintenance guide.
How to Recharge a Solar Light without Sunlight?
Solar panels continue to absorb solar energy even in cloudy weather or through glass. So you can recharge your solar lights away from direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be weaker and the light will not last as long.
