How do solar lights work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then illuminate the bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in a location that receives full sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

No direct sunlight available?

It’s not as convenient, but you can still install solar lights even in a winter region. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a wire that can vary from three to eight meters, ideal for a heavily shaded outdoor area. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still work, but they will be weaker.

My solar light is not working?

Often, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the rechargeable battery. Sometimes the batteries don’t charge or hold the charge. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular battery, and you will quickly find out why your solar light is not working. It is very rare for the solar panel itself to be the cause.

How to charge a solar light without sunlight?

Solar cells continue to absorb solar energy even in dark weather or through glass. So you can recharge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be lower, and the lights will last for a shorter period of time.
