How does solar lighting work?

Organic photovoltaic cells store sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which power the light at night. Since solar lights rely on sunlight, they should be placed in an area that receives maximum sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours per day.

What if you don’t have direct sunlight?

It’s less convenient, but you can still use rechargeable solar lights even in wintery regions. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a cable that can range from one to five meters, ideal for shaded outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or wintery region, your solar lights will still work, but they may not be as powerful.

Why isn’t my solar light working?

Usually, the culprit of malfunctioning solar lights is the battery. Often, the batteries don’t charge or hold the charge. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a standard one, and you’ll quickly determine why your solar light isn’t working. It’s also possible that the solar panel module is the issue, but this is very rare.

How to charge a solar light without direct sunlight?

Solar cells continue to absorb solar energy even on cloudy days or through a glass surface. So you can recharge your solar lights outside of direct sunlight. However, the light will be less powerful and last for a shorter period.
