How Does Solar Lighting Work?

Photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the light at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they should be placed in an area that receives plenty of sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

No Direct Sunlight?

It’s not as easy, but you can still have solar-powered lights even in a rainy region. We have solar lights with a detached solar module connected by a cable that can range from three to six meters, ideal for a dark outdoor area. If you live in a rainy or wintry area, your solar lights will still work but they will be less powerful.

Why is my Solar Lamp not Working Anymore?

Often, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the battery. Frequently, the batteries don’t charge or hold the charge. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery and you will immediately know why your solar lamp is not working. It is possible that the solar panel is the cause, but this is highly unlikely.

How to Recharge a Solar Lamp Without Sunlight?

Solar cells continue to absorb solar energy even in cloudy weather or through a window. So you can recharge your solar lamps without direct sunlight. But the brightness will be lower and the duration will be shorter.
