Which solar light should you choose for your garden?

How does a solar light work?

New generation photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then light up the bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in a location that receives maximum sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

What if you don’t have direct sunlight?

It is not as convenient, but you can still install rechargeable solar lights, even in a rainy area. We have solar lights with separate solar panels connected by a cable, which can range from two to five meters in length, perfect for very dark outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or winter area, your solar lights will still work but may be less powerful.

What if my solar light is not working?

Usually, the cause of malfunctioning lights is the battery. Often, the batteries do not charge or do not hold a charge. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular one, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working. It is very unlikely that the solar panel itself is faulty.

How to charge a solar light without direct sunlight?

Solar panels continue to store solar energy even in cloudy weather or through a window. So you can recharge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be lower, and the duration will be shorter.
