How Do Solar Lights Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the light bulb at night. Since the lamps are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in a location that receives a lot of sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

Living in a Winter Region?

It’s not as convenient, but you can still install rechargeable solar lights, even in a rainy region. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a wire that can vary from three to ten meters, perfect for a heavily shaded outdoor area. If you live in a rainy or winter zone, your solar lights will still work, but they will be less powerful.

Why Isn’t My Solar Light Working Anymore?

Generally, the cause of a malfunction in your lights is the rechargeable battery. Sometimes the batteries do not charge or do not retain power. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working anymore. It is possible that the solar module is the cause, but this is very unlikely.

Solar panels continue to store solar energy even in dark weather or through glass. So you can recharge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be lower, and it will last for a shorter period of time.
