How Do Solar Lights Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge rechargeable batteries, which then power the LED bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in a location that receives full sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

Do You Have a Shaded Courtyard?

It may not be as convenient, but you can still install rechargeable solar lights, even in a shaded area or during the winter season. We have solar lights with a solar module separated by a cable that can range from three to eight meters, ideal for a heavily shaded outdoor space. If you live in a rainy or winter area, your solar lights will still work, but they will be less powerful.

Why Is My Solar Light Not Working Anymore?

Often, the reason for a malfunction in your solar lights is the rechargeable battery. It frequently happens that the batteries either don’t charge or don’t hold power. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular one, and you’ll instantly know why your solar light is not working. It is unlikely that the solar energy module is the cause of the issue.

Solar panels continue to store solar energy even in cloudy weather or through a window. So you can charge your solar lights without direct sunlight. But the light will be dimmer and won’t last as long.
