How do solar lights work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the bulbs at night. Since these lights are supplied by solar energy, they need to be placed in a location that receives ample sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

What if you don’t have direct sunlight?

It’s not as straightforward, but you can still have rechargeable solar lights even in a wintry area. We have solar lights with a separate solar module connected by a cable that can vary from two to ten meters, which is perfect for very dark outdoor spaces. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still work, but they may be less powerful.

My solar light isn’t working?

Most often, the reason for malfunctioning lights is the battery. Batteries sometimes fail to charge or hold a charge. A good trick is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular one to determine if that’s why your solar light has stopped working. It’s unlikely that the solar panel is the issue.

How to charge a solar light without sunlight?

Solar cells continue to absorb solar energy even in cloudy weather or through glass. So you can still charge your solar lights outside of direct sunlight. However, the light will be less intense, and the duration will be shorter.
