How do solar lights work?

Photovoltaic cells store solar energy during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the LED bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they must be placed in an area that receives plenty of sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

What if you don’t have direct sunlight?

It’s not as straightforward, but you can still install rechargeable solar lights even in a rainy area. We have solar lights with a separate solar module connected by a cable that can range from one to five meters, perfect for dark outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or wintery area, your solar wall lights will still work, but they will be less powerful.

Why is my solar light not working anymore?

Usually, the reason for a malfunctioning solar light is the battery. It often happens that batteries do not charge or hold the energy. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working anymore. It’s unlikely that the solar module is the cause of the problem.

How to recharge a solar light without sunlight?

Solar modules continue to absorb solar energy even on cloudy days or through glass. So you can recharge your solar lights even without direct sunlight. However, the light will be dimmer and last for a shorter duration.
