How Do Solar Lights Work?

Photovoltaic cells collect sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the LED bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in a location that receives maximum sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

What If You Don’t Have Direct Sunlight?

It’s not as convenient, but you can still install solar lights even in a completely shaded area. We have solar lights with a separate solar module connected by a cable that can range from one to nine meters, perfect for very dark outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or wintery area, your solar wall lights will still work but will be dimmer.

My Solar Light Doesn’t Work Anymore?

Typically, the most common cause of malfunctioning lights is the rechargeable battery. It often happens that the batteries do not charge or do not hold a charge. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular one and you will immediately know why your solar light is not working. It is possible that the solar energy module is the issue, but this is unlikely.

How to Charge a Solar Light without Sunlight?

Solar modules continue to store solar energy even in dark weather or through glass. So you can charge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the light will be less intense and last for a shorter period.
