How does solar lighting work?

Solar cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the LED light at night. Since the lamps are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in an area that receives full sunlight, ideally for eight to ten hours or more per day.

Don’t have direct sunlight?

It’s not as straightforward, but you can install rechargeable solar lights even in a completely shaded area. We have solar lights with a separate solar module connected by a wire that can extend from one to ten meters, which is great for dark outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or wintery area, your solar lights will still work but may be less powerful.

My solar lamp isn’t working anymore?

Usually, the cause of a malfunction in your lights is the battery. It often happens that the batteries don’t charge or don’t hold the charge. Our best advice is to replace the solar battery with a regular battery, and you will immediately know why your solar lamp is not working. It is very rare for the solar module itself to be the issue.

How to charge a solar lamp without sunlight?

Solar cells continue to absorb solar energy even in cloudy weather or through a windowpane. So you can charge your solar lights outside direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be less powerful, and the light will not last as long.
