How do solar lamps work?

Photovoltaic cells capture sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the LED bulbs at night. Since solar lamps rely on sunlight for energy, they should be positioned in an area that receives plenty of sunlight, ideally for eight to ten hours or more per day.

What if I have a very shady courtyard?

While not as ideal, you can still use solar-powered lights even in a shaded area or during the winter months. We have solar lights available with a separate solar panel on a wire, ranging from one to nine meters, perfect for darker outdoor spaces. If you live in a rainy or wintry region, your solar lights will still work, but they may be less bright.

Why is my solar lamp not working?

Oftentimes, the reason for malfunctioning solar lights is the rechargeable battery. Sometimes the batteries fail to charge or hold the charge. We recommend replacing the solar battery with a standard battery to determine if that is the issue. It is highly unlikely that the solar panel module is the cause of the problem.

How to charge a solar lamp without sunlight?

Solar panels can still absorb solar energy even on cloudy days or through a glass surface. So, you can recharge your solar lights even without direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be lower, and the duration of illumination may be shorter.
