How Does a Solar Lamp Work?

Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the LED bulb at night. Since the lights are powered by solar energy, they need to be placed in an area that receives maximum sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.

What if You Don’t Have Direct Sunlight?

It’s not as straightforward, but you can still use solar-powered lights even in a completely shaded area. We have solar lights with a detached solar module connected by a cable, which can range from two to six meters. It’s great for lighting up dark outdoor spaces. If you live in a rainy or winter climate, your solar lights will still work, but the brightness will be lower and the duration shorter.

Why Isn’t My Solar Lamp Working Anymore?

Often, the issue is with the batteries. Sometimes, the batteries fail to charge or hold the charge. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable batteries with regular ones, and you’ll quickly find out why your solar lamp isn’t working. It’s unlikely that the solar panel itself is the problem.

How to Charge a Solar Lamp Without Sunlight?

Solar panels continue to absorb solar energy even in dark weather or through a window. So, you can charge your solar lights even without direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be lower, and they will last for a shorter time.
