How Do Solar Lights Work?
Photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the rechargeable batteries, which then power the light bulb at night. Since the lights rely on solar energy, they should be placed in an area that receives full sunlight, ideally eight to ten hours or more per day.
Living in a Winter Region?
While it may not be as convenient, you can still install solar-powered lights even in a winter region. We have solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a cable, which can range from three to six meters. This is ideal for shaded outdoor areas. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still work, but their power may be less intense.
My Solar Light Is Not Working?
Usually, the most common reason for malfunctioning lights is the battery. Sometimes the batteries may not charge or retain power. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular one, and you will immediately find out why your solar light is not working. It is less likely that the solar panel itself is the problem.
For more information, consult our maintenance guide.
How to Recharge a Solar Light Without Sunlight?
Solar modules continue to absorb solar energy even on cloudy days or through a window. So, you can charge your solar lights even when they are not in direct sunlight. However, the brightness will be lower, and the battery life will be shorter.
