How does solar lighting work?
Organic photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight during the day to charge the batteries, which then power the LED bulbs at night. Since solar lights rely on solar energy, they must be positioned in an area that receives full sunlight for at least eight to ten hours or more per day.
Living in a rainy region?
Although it may seem challenging, you can still use solar-powered lights even in a rainy region. We offer solar lights with a separate solar panel connected by a cable, providing flexibility for placing the panel in a sunnier spot while the lights are in a shaded area. If you live in a rainy or winter region, your solar lights will still function, although they may be slightly less powerful.
Why isn’t my solar light working?
Most often, the battery is the cause of malfunctioning solar lights. Sometimes the batteries do not charge or retain power properly. Our best advice is to replace the rechargeable battery with a regular battery, which will quickly determine if the solar light is still functional. It is very rare for the solar panel module to be the cause of the issue.
For more information, refer to our maintenance guide.
How to charge a solar light without sunlight?
Solar panels can still absorb solar energy even on cloudy days or through a window. Therefore, you can recharge your solar lights without direct sunlight. However, the light will be less bright and may not last as long.
